Are you more afraid now than ever of Vampires?

Then this necklace is a 'must have'!

Since their recent 'coming out of the coffin' & desire to 'mainstream' themselves in society we are all at a hightened risk for random Vampire attacks.
It's not that they aren't trying to adjust, but even with that new synthetic blood on the market, it's still in their nature. A little added security is always a good thing, especially
if you are thinking about dating one of these guys!!!

For your protection this necklace includes:
~The traditional CROSS, which can hold Vampires at bay & render gravesites useless to them.
~A MIRROR for checking to see if in fact the 'entity' in question is a Vampire...
No reflection could mean bad news.
I've also been told that mirrors aggravate them 'to death', since they can't even see their own reflection.
~A SILVER chain that wraps around, which can come in quite handy when you're 'necking' with a Vampire.

Aahhh, Spring...

and a young girl's fancy (hey, now...40 is the new 20, right?!) turns to...Paris!!! For real...I will be in the city of love & lights for my first time, in May. The beginning of a month long backpacking adventure with my son, the flavour of Paris is sure to nudge my Muse! While there, the Louvre is our number one destination. Second, is to find some fantastic antique treasures to spark my creativity...and of course, how could we forget the Eiffel Tower!

The day the Stork arrived quite unexpectedly...

I was in my studio earlier that day, working on a litter of 'peeping tom' pendants that were special ordered, when I heard this faint little 'mew'. I thought that a kitten had wondered up on my patio, but when I headed towards the cry, I realized that it was coming from my living room. I arrived at the scene to find my cat (Grey Kitty is her name) completely dumbfounded by having given birth to the cutest little black kitty ever. I was even more dumbfounded, since I had no idea she was even pregnant. This is a cat, who has never been outside a day in her life, much less seen a male animal of any kind (or so I thought). In my shocked state, I'm thinking...IT'S A MIRACLE! I could almost here the golden harps playing, but was soon jolted back to reality when I remembered back exactly 2 months before...

I had been out of town and left a friend of mine in charge of kitty/house sitting for the week. Upon my return home, I noticed a window had been left open. Little did I know there had been a total feline orgy going on the entire time that I was gone. Oh well, she is now the proud mother of 3 of the sweetest little angels ever and I have my very own real life 'peeping tom' to cuddle with!

New Beginnings...

**In March of 2004, my mother sent me a clipping of my birthday horoscope, just as she did every year. As usual, I skimmed over it and stuck it in a drawer, not giving it much thought...

The next month, she died, unexpectedly.

I have always been a creative person and tend to seek new avenues of creativity when times are tough. That summer I began making record album purses to try and keep my mind off my loss. My purses became a hit and I sold quite a few. I even toyed with the idea of starting my own business. But with life's demands of raising a teenaged son and working full time, I dismissed it as a dream and purse production stopped.

One breakup, a miserable job, and a year later, I began creating jewelry with some stained glass shards that had been lying around the house. Once again, my designs became a hit. I couldn't go anywhere without someone commenting on them. I would literally sell them off of my neck.

'Something' kept telling me that this is it...that this is what I'm supposed to do.

That same 'Something' lead me to pull out that old horoscope. And there it was......

"A project done well in June will
push you into a new career realm"

...hmmm, I thought...it was June of that year when I made my first purse...

I knew then that this is what I am supposed to do. I never looked back...I took the leap, formed my own business and have never been happier.

I encourage everyone to discover their talents and follow their dreams. It makes all the difference in the world!!

Welcome to my new blog...

Thanks for checking it out!

I must forwarn everyone, that this is a 'work in progress, as I am new to the world of blogging...yes, I'm just a tad bit of a late bloomer!

And on that note, I will leave you with one of my all time favorite poems...

And then the day came,
when the risk
to remain tight
in a bud
was more painful
than the risk
it took to blossom.
